About us

PIPAER’s key mandate is to provide soft skills training in research and data management, conduct research and policy analysis to nurture the generation of a critical mass of scientific knowledge and the application of such knowledge to produce evidence-based quality research output and policy formulation for institutional capacity building and socio-economic development.

To build a path for generating sustainable mass of scientific knowledge through research trainings and data management, research and policy analysis, and capacity building for institutions using professionally innovative ways.

Thematic Areas

PIPAER’s core thematic research and capacity building areas include but not limited to climatic change, Environmental and Natural resources management, Economics of Health, Poverty and Welfare analysis, Sector Analysis and Policy Development, Nutrition and Food Security, Labour and Employment and Monitoring and Impact Evaluations.

Areas of Capacity Building

Data management (including collection, cleaning & wrangling) and analysis, Fiscal Planning and Budgeting, Project planning and management and Research methodology. We also offer mentorship through our internship programme to graduate and undergraduate students.

Strategic Objectives

PIPAER strives to pursue the following strategic objectives:

  1. To enhance acquisition of soft skills (through training) in research and data management to nurture researchers (build capacity) to generate scientific knowledge to produce evidence-based quality research output and policy for institutional capacity building and socio-economic development.
  2. To conduct and disseminate high quality policy-relevant research output for expert advice to relevant stakeholders.
  3. To provide mentorship/internship to young professionals in the area of research, economics and statistic, and related disciplines.
